Case Study: Mobile Friendly Web Design  

We were recently approached by Boutique Beauty Salon, Oh So Gorgeous with the task of transforming their website into a mobile responsive format.

This year, Google has made significant changes to the way in which it ranks websites on search engine results pages. Websites that aren’t deemed “mobile-friendly” have experienced a drop in visibility for searches performed on mobile devices.

Oh So Gorgeous’ new website is now viewable on any device, whether it be tablet, mobile or desktop and their rankings will not be affected by Google’s latest changes.

The growth of mobile traffic has prompted Google to make these changes to their ranking signals. Google believes that when it comes to searching on the web, users should get the most relevant and timely results regardless of the device they are using. According to research, 73 per cent of web users prefer mobile-friendly websites and 61 per cent leave a site if it isn’t mobile responsive
