Welcome to the 29th edition of Aspect IT’s newsletter, The View.

Meet the Staff

Our popular news article of meeting the staff is back. This time it’s Jonathan Baird, our Services Manager.

Jonathan has been with us since March 2012, so it’s his 4 year anniversary in March!

You may hear Jonathan on the help-desk from time-to-time, but he is currently working on some exciting projects at Aspect.  These include VoIP, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Management.

We asked Jonathan about his role and what he enjoys about it.

What did you do before working at Aspect?
I used to work for a local training company and looked after the IT.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I always enjoyed working on the help-desk and helping customers but my new role enables me to work and manage new and exciting technologies.

What tech is going to take off in 2016?
VoIP is definitely the next big thing. I really enjoy working with this kind of technology and small businesses can make some big cost savings.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time
I enjoy socialising with friends and when I have a bit of free time, I spend this learning new technologies and concepts related to my role!

How are you going to celebrate in March? 4 years at Aspect!
Ha, probably what we always do at Aspect, eat cakes and sweets….

Friends Day on Facebook

Today is Friends day on Facebook, pop over and say hello!

Be Safe on the Internet

A quick reminder to never open email attachments from unknown sources. Lincolnshire County Council recently had a cyber attack and a £350 ransom demand, payable by BitCoin.

This issue arose because a user opened an email attachment that contained MalWare which then infected the whole network!

Don’t be Shy, Say Hi!

Pop by our social media pages on Facebook and Twitter and say hi! We are always posting the latest Aspect news along with gadget info and tech advice!
