It’s question and answer time with our helpdesk guru, Timothy Else!I
Q: What is it like working on the helpdesk?
A: It’s a fast paced and busy environment on the helpdesk with no one day being the same, there are plenty of challenges and customers to keep happy. It’s a fantastic environment to learn, develop, and to get plenty of hands on experience with exciting new technology.
Q: Do you enjoy what you do in your role?
A: Absolutely, there is always more to learn in IT as it’s an ever-growing industry. Since starting at Aspect IT at the start of the year, I really feel that my experience and knowledge has developed. As long as I am developing and helping to provide the quality of service our customers expect, I am happy!
Q: Do you like visiting our clients that need support?
A: Absolutely, it’s important that we can cater to all our clients and I feel a sense of pride when the customer is happy with the quality of service we provide.
Q: What did you do before you became part of the helpdesk at Aspect IT?
A: I finished my Computer Forensics degree at Liverpool John Moore’s University in 2013. After this I helped to look after the IT for a recruitment company based in Warrington. I worked there for just under three years until I moved to Stalybridge to live with my partner before starting work at Aspect IT.
Q: What do you hope for the future?
A: I hope to continue learning and developing my skills here at Aspect IT. I have just achieved my intermediate engineers certificate in 3CX which is a VoIP service that we provide to our clients and I am going to start studying for the final exam soon. In my personal life we are moving house very soon which I’m excited about.. so I’m hopeful that all goes through OK. For those of you that have seen the ‘League of Gentlemen’ you will probably be familiar with Hadfield which is a small town just outside of Glossop and where we will soon call home. Tim attended ProVu’s briefing in Manchester yesterday, learning some new skills about Voip. Did you know that we do Voip installation? It’s an internet based replacement for you phone lines. You can read more about it here.
Bank Holiday opening hours
Once again it’s another bank holiday. The office will be closed on Monday 29th May and will reopen on Tuesday 30th May. Any customers that require urgent support please use the emergency support numbers.
