Today’s blog can give you the how to guide on getting yourself motivated and keeping it that way!

Think of what you want to achieve

So, close your eyes and picture where you want to be in 15 – 20 year time maybe. Do you want to have your own business eventually? Or want to be able to afford the lovely and nice things in life? There’s many questions you can ask yourself and picture where you want to be.

Some people get motivated by becoming determined to get to the place they pictured themselves. Setting yourself goals can motivate you to work harder for yourself to be a success!


Get enough sleep at night

We know that you want to work hard, but you need a good rest as well to function properly the next day. They say you should get at least eight hours sleep to feel nice and fresh in the morning.

If you get no sleep, you have no energy which means no motivation. All you will want to do is close your eyes and nap at your desk…which unfortunately you can’t (unless your company allows nap time). Just make sure you go to bed at a reasonable time. Allow yourself at least 20 minutes to wind down with no distractions before you go to sleep.

And to all those who work at home AFTER a full days work, chill out, take a breather and get some sleep! – I’m sure you’re working hard enough to earn your eight hours sleep.


 Prepare yourself

Rushing in the morning just starts your day with a buzz kill mood. “It’s just going to be one of them days” as some people say. But actually, you don’t need to be rushing in the morning if you prepare yourself the night before.

Get your work clothes out the night before so you actually know what you’re wearing instead of standing in front of your wardrobe for a good ten minutes thinking shall I or shall I not. If you prepare what you’re wearing that saves you time.

Make your lunch the night before and put it in the fridge so you can just grab and go, allowing yourself extra time to make yourself a filling and energizing breakfast.

If you think about it, you’ll be saving yourself a good fifteen minutes if you prepare everything the night before. Then it’ll be a “today is going to be a great day”.


Push yourself

Taking the easy path in life just won’t get you anywhere. You need to challenge yourself! Yes, there will be hard times where you feel stressed and demotivated, but at the end of the day you will get it done and you will be proud of yourself. Always try and go the extra mile because then you will most definitely stand out from the crowd.

Never ever think “I’m not going to get this done in time” – yes you can, you can do it! Push yourself.


Positive attitude is the way forward

If you’re going to be negative about things, then it’s not going to get you motivated, in fact it’ll do the exact opposite. Get up in the morning, have a good stretch and take the day as it comes. There may be some complications, but there’s always a solution to it.

Thinking negative about something will just prolong the task you need to resolve. Just think that the quicker you do it, the quicker it is resolved. I was always told ‘Positive Mental Attitude’ goes a long way! – It’s a good saying to have in your head when you’re feeling a little flat.


Just remember, motivating yourself is easy once you put your mind to it. Motivation definitely goes a long way, especially if you influence others to become motivated. It’ll be like a personal achievement then.
